Only One

day to go until the new mini catalogue is available for you all to see - I am taking part in a blog hop on the 2nd to showcase some of the new yuminess - please come back and take a look at 10am.
Today's card is an anniversary card for a friend using the birdie punch again - it didn't make it back onto the rail after making the other card! - the papers are from the soft subtles designer stack and I have used the heart and mini tag punch as well. The sentiment is from an old su stamp set I have stashed away , I have discovered this week I am lacking in sentiments! - they are going to be my next purchase. I will also be doing some new product shares from the mini - keep your eye on the product share tab at the top of the page.

Struggling

to make a sympathy card for a dear friend who lost her mum - none of my stamps were suitable so I turned to my trusty bird punch and used papers from the neutral designer stack , the card blank was one from a pack I picked up somewhere and I added a touch of decoration to the inside. The sentiment was from the recent saleabration stamp sets. The label is the dsigner label cut and patched to make it bigger.
2 days to go!

Monday Monday

again!- I think the weekend's should be three days long!. The boys and I had fun on Saturday as the man of the house was out and about at the Football we took ourselves off shopping as G's wardrobe was lacking in clothes to fit - luckily we managed to get plenty at Gap that fit's well and he was happy to wear - shame the same could not be said for the elder one!. I am busy making things for Easter gifts can you tell what the contents of my tray is going to be? - I will share when they are done - rather a lot of punching and gluing needs to be done.
There is also a new addition to my life - it came to live with us on Saturday complete with pink cover which I may alter with a few SU rubons! - I have hankered after the first one for ages but decided to wait until the the second one arrived and yes the tesco barcode scanner does work!.
It is amazing.

These feet

were made for walkin'!- yesterday they walked all around the NEC looking at lots of crafting goodies and soaking up lots of fantastic inspiration. I spent most of the day at the fabric stands - I love A-line linen skirts in retro prints for the summer but they are getting very expensive from the store that I  get them from so my lovely friend Kathy has volunteered to make me one or two or three - she maybe might say she didn't volunteer! she has a bag thrust into her hand with some gorgeous echino linen an Amy Bultler pattern and it will be returned to me ready to wear! - she may regret ever mentioning that she could sew a stitch or two!.Here is the fabric that I chose - I love the birds.
Most of the crafty stuff as lovely as some of it was doesn't quite match up to my love of SU at the moment in fact I only bought some cello bags, brooch backs and some tape. I did get to met Monica at long last who was there with a Stampin' Up! stand - it looked beautiful packed full of co-ordinated displays - moure inspiration that you could possibly take in - I could have stayed there a lot longer - if you are going to the NEC this weekend please pop by and say hi to them and have a puruse at the all the wonderful things on display - I hope Monica doesn't mind but I have taken this picture from her blog as I forgot my camera so you can see the stand.

Happy Post

This  morning I went to collect the weekend post and amongst it all was a squashy envelope that contained what I call Happy Post! ie not a bill!. In my envelope was a lovely handmade card and the cutest owl box, I popped it open and out fell the most gorgeous button bracelet all from the lovely Monica it was a gift from her.
Along with a bunch of the brightest yellow daffodils which are just starting to open on my windowsill today this little surprise parcel has made me very happy and popped a spring in my step - aren't crafters the nicest people. I have popped a picture of it here so that you can see it in all it's glory and I hope Monica doesn't mind but I think it could be a project that appears in one of my craft classes very soon!.

What a Fantastic

day I had in Leeds - I met a bunch of fantastic ladies, picked up lots of great ideas, and most of all received a whole host of creative swaps - having never been to training before I was very unsure as to what to expect but everyone was so welcoming and had made some amazing items to swap about - these are brilliant as you recieve lots of items using stamp sets that you thought weren't you, see colour combos you you wouldn't have put to gether and then after looking at them in greater detail decide you need everything to recreate them all!! - I love them all! thankyou everyone and a special thanks to the lovely Michelle who spied a lost soul walking in and welcomed me - her card is the two 3d daffodils perfect for the welsh amongst us especially as this week we celebrated St David's day or as we like to say Dydd Dewi Sant.My swap is the top card and the bottom is all the others - I am off to gaze at them again over another of coffee!.

Sweetie

jar! - well it started it's life as a coffee jar but I have prettied it up with some designer papers, a paper rosette, button, ribbon and some cute little tags and of course filled it with cadbury choccies.
The little tag punch and stamps are my most used set from the stampin' cupboard - they look so good attached with a little bit of twine. I am of to the Stampin' Up! training day on Saturday - a whole day of crafty things - I have some cards ready to swap with other demos for even more inspiration - I know when I see what others have done with Stamp sets I have dismissed that I will have to pop them on the next order - I will share a pic of my swaps and the others after the day.
